At the same time, the Santa Cruz research project facilitated the publication, in open access, of the proceedings of the International Colloquium “Jean de Rouen. Architecte et sculpteur européen à la Renaissance” (organized by the École Pratique des Hautes Études-PSL and the University of Rouen) in number 7 of digitAR – Digital Journal of Archeology, Architecture and Arts.
Jean de Rouen was a main protagonist of the renovation of the monastery that took place under king John III between 1527 and 1533, being the main responsible for passage of the Renaissance from sculpture to architecture, through the design of a series of portals, chapels and vaults in the renewed classical formal grammar.
